The Presentations
Conference Vienna 2026
In April 2026, over 140 patient advocates, clinicians, researchers, and policymakers came together in Vienna for the first ever Lung Cancer Europe Annual Conference. Three days of learning, discussion, and shared purpose, brought together under one theme: growing together, creating change.
The presentations from all three days are available to download below. Whether you were there in person and want to revisit a session, or you're exploring the programme for the first time, we hope these resources are useful. They cover some of the most pressing issues in lung cancer care and advocacy in Europe today, from AI in screening and personalised treatment, to patient partnerships in research, access to clinical trials, and the Right to be Forgotten.
Videos from the conference are currently being edited and will be available here soon.
Wednesday 22 April - Conference Opening
The conference opened with a keynote session bringing together perspectives from across the European lung cancer landscape, including voices from EU policy, clinical practice, patient advocacy, and cancer research. Sessions addressed the state of lung cancer in Europe, what Europe's Beating Cancer Plan means in practice, and how the patient voice can drive real change in care and policy.
Thursday 23 April - Science, Innovation and Patient Voice
Thursday brought together expert speakers across three major themes: the future of lung cancer in Europe, artificial intelligence and data in cancer care, and personalised treatment. Sessions were designed to equip patient advocates with practical knowledge on access inequalities, emerging therapies, shared decision making, and cross-border clinical trial participation.
Friday 24 April - Members’ Day
Friday was dedicated to Lung Cancer Europe member organisations, with peer learning, initiative updates, and open discussion. The afternoon included a session on advocacy and patient rights that generated significant response from members across Europe.
