Photography, video and audio recordings may take place during the Lung Cancer Europe Conference 2026.
This page explains what may be recorded, how recordings may be used, and the choices available to you. Please read this information before deciding whether to give consent during registration.
What may be recorded
During the conference, Lung Cancer Europe may capture:
Photographs
Video recordings
Audio recordings
Recordings may be taken during sessions, discussions, networking moments and group activities. Images and recordings may show people from the side, from behind, or as part of a wider group.
Lung Cancer Europe will take reasonable steps to respect individual preferences. However, as this is a live event, it may not be possible to avoid all incidental capture in every situation.
How recordings may be used
Images, video and audio recordings may be used by Lung Cancer Europe for purposes connected to its work, including:
The Lung Cancer Europe website
Social media channels
Reports and publications
Conference-related communications
Materials will only be used in ways that are consistent with Lung Cancer Europe’s mission and activities.
Use of names
Where appropriate, images or recordings may be used:
With a person’s name
Without a person’s name
You will be able to indicate your preference during registration. You can also update your preference at any time by contacting Lung Cancer Europe.
Your choice and consent
Providing consent to photography, filming and recording is optional.
Choosing not to consent will not affect your ability to attend or participate in the conference. Lung Cancer Europe will take reasonable steps to respect your choice, including on the day where possible.
If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, you may also inform a member of the conference team during the event.
Data protection and privacy
Lung Cancer Europe is the data controller for any personal data collected through photography, video or audio recordings.
Recordings will be stored securely and retained for up to five years, unless consent is withdrawn earlier.
You have the right to:
Withdraw your consent at any time
Request access to recordings that include you
Request deletion where appropriate
Please note that it may not always be possible to remove images or recordings that have already been published or widely shared.
